The right investment in jewelry always pays off both financially and emotionally: surely each piece in your personal collection has its own story worth telling. Things dear to the heart (and not only to him) deserve careful handling: with proper care, they are provided with the status of family heirlooms, and your great-grandchildren – an impressive collection.

WIPE YOUR JEWELRY REGULARLY

Over time, any metal can tarnish, so I recommend regularly cleaning silver and gold-plated jewelry with dry flannel, suede, or a cloth to restore shine. A soft (tooth) brush moistened with warm water and baby soap will also work.

Remove jewelry when exercising

From any rough mechanical impact, the metal part of your jewelry can be scratched or even deformed, and cracks and chips will appear on the stones, so do not forget to remove jewelry before training and other physical activities.

In addition, jewelry is not shown to be exposed to elevated temperatures: remove all chains, earrings, bracelets and rings, going to the bath or solarium.

AVOID CONTACT OF JEWELRY WITH HOUSEHOLD CHEMICALS AND COSMETICS

Contact of cosmetics and household cleaners with jewelry can cause stains, discolouration, and damage to the metal surface due to oxidation. The same is likely with prolonged interaction with foundation, suntan lotion, perfume and other beauty products.

PROPER CARE OF JEWELRY WITH PEARLS AND NATURAL STONES

Jewelry with pearls and natural stones is best stored in such a way as to avoid direct sunlight – this way they will retain their color and shine. In addition to ultraviolet light, they are not very fond of iodized sea water: going to the beach, leave such decorations in the safe in the hotel room. If you still prefer not to part with them, after bathing, rinse them with fresh water and wipe dry.

KEEP YOUR JEWELRY IN A CASE

It is best to store jewelry in an individual case or a special case . The latter, as a rule, contain mini-collections: earrings are inserted into holes specially provided for this, rings are “strung” on a soft shelf, chains are broadcast and folded into pockets to avoid creases and knots.
